This is based on the information provided by Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc, (Engineer for the Project) using North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR) wastewater flow guidelines. The projected flow is 1,500 gpd; however WSACC expects the actual wastewater flow to more closely approximate 1,200 gpd based upon Master Plan engineering data By requesting flow acceptance, the City of Kannapolis acknowledges that WSACC may need to upgrade, expand, or construct new facilities to accommodate the increased flow volume granted by this and previous flow acceptance. Appropriate design and construction will be initiated when actual flows dictate but may be subject to situations that WSACC does not expect or control. Based upon flow of 1,500 gpd and cost of S8A26/gpd to provide treatment and transportation capacity, this flow acceptance represents an estimated capital expenditure in excess of S12,189, For your information and based upon NCDENR wastewater flow guidelines, WSACC has approved 2,759,744 gallons of flow acceptance for the City of Kannapolis from 1992 to present and 336,274 gallons of flow acceptance year-to-date including this request. Based upon the approved flow acceptances, WSACC has committed capacity valued in excess of 522,425,679 for the City of Kannapolis since 1992 including S2,732,562 for this calendar year Projects on the CIP are subject to approval by WSACC's Board of Directors, support from local governing bodies, regulatory approval, and funding availability, At this time there are no scheduled upgrades to WSACC facilities Jn the current six year CapItal Improvement Prosrarn (CIP) (ha r are located downsErearn of 7hi s proposed project It should be noted that tic list and of Kinhapolis Kannapolis Fire Stab) September 20, 2006 Page 2 of Fax :74 64 ite 20 2006 l :1 P. 05 schedule of OF proects are ter r tr e and are revised periodically 'to ref arid needs h n in conditions Please note that if cans ctiun of this project is not started ithin two years f the date of this approval, 1, the approval is rescinded and a second request and approval will be required. 1 ease notify WSACC, CC, in writing, when construction of this project is initiated.
