HomeMy WebLinkAboutNC0029980_authorization to construct_19770818Mr. George Tarala Vice -President, Engineering Miller Brewing Company 4000 West State Street Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53208 SUBJECT: Dear Mr. Tarala: August 18, 1977 Permit No. NC0029980 Authorization to Construct Miller Brewing Company, Eden Brewery Wastewater Treatment Facilities Rockingham County, North Carolina Final plan documents for the subject project have been reviewed and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the construction of 5.2 MGD industrial wastewater treatment facilities consisting of an influent lift station, bar screens, grit removal, influent sampling, chemical addition, aeration basins, secondary clarifiers, affluent polishing lagoons, in -plant and effluent lift stations, effluent monitoring and flow measuring, subject to the following conditions: 1. Prior to construction of waste sludge disposal facilities final plans of these facilities must be submitted for review and approval. 2. At such time as standby power is provided for the brewery operation, standby power shall be provided for biological process of the waste- water treatment facilities. This is a Class IV Wastewater Treatment Plant which requires the person in responsible charge to hold a valid Grade IV Certificate. This Authorization to Construct supersedes the Authorization to Construct dated July 1, 1977. This Authorization to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless the wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in accordance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0029980.
