Reason for Visit: Follow-up
Inspection Summary:
On April 13, 2021, WSRO staff made a site visit to the subject facility for an inspection of the wastewater storage pond. Mr.
Jeremy Bowlin and Mr. John Anderson accompanied staff on the inspection. Below is a summary of notes from this
inspection.
---Storage pond review notes---
• The storage pond had been pumped down as far as possible (i.e., to the pump intake). There was an estimated 1 ft. or less
of wastewater remaining in them center of the pond below the pump intake elevation (see site map sketch & photos).
• Observed sludge depths were uniformly —2 — 4 inches in depth on the pond bottom. The depth below the remaining
wastewater is unknown, believed to be similar in depth but could be thicker. This event serves as the sludge survey for the
current permit cycle.
• The staff gauge measured approx. 5 ft. 10 in. total height, with hose clamp markers every 2 inches and the top marker
being 2 ft. max marker.
---Spray fields #1 and #2 review notes---
• Both fields have been reseeded. A healthy stand of fescue -rye grass mix was found to be present in fields.
• No irrigation is to occur until the 12-month PAN loading has been lowered below the agronomic limits.
---Spray fields #3 and #4 review notes---
• All fields overseeded with irrigation routinely occurring. Grass in fields has improved since initial permitting.
• Spray field 4-Z3 was irrigating at the time of inspection and found to be compliant with good dispersal patterns.
*A comprehensive compliance inspection needs to be conducted within the next 12 months.
