Walked the site and discussed the remediation system. According to Mr. Miller, the system operated very well. The only problem was freezing of lines during cold weather. The inspection reflects compliance with the permit. The system was run twice: Phase I: November 11, 2019 to February 27, 2020 Phase II: June 22, 2020 to September 24, 2020 Review of the data indicated the system was effective in removing dissolved phase concentrations of benezene and napthalene to concentrations below the NCAC 2L Standards in three monitoring wells where there were previous 2L exceedances. The influent and effluent data also indicated the system reduced volatile constituents to concentrations below the laboratory detection limits.
