DMR's for the months of June 2004 to March 2005 were reviewed. One permit violation was found for the month of
November 2004. Samples for iron and aluminum were inadvertently not taken. Records were accurately and very
neatly maintained. The wastewater at this facility is primarily filter backwash water from this facility as
well as from the Glenville WTP. Wastewater from both facilities is pumped into an equalization basin.
Wastewater from the equaliztion basin then has polymer added to aid in settling. Two to three percent of the
wastewater is then pumped to the Cross Creek WWTP with the remainder going to one of two clarifiers. At the
time of this inspection one of the clarifiers was down for service. The supernatant water is then pumped to
,a 10 acre lagoon where more settling can occur. Upon leaving this lagoon the water is discharged into the Cape
Fear River. The outfall was easily accessible and the effluent was clear.
