REQUIRING CUSTOMER
NOTICE
BY THE COMMISSION: On September 23, 2005, Community Investments, LLC
(Applicant), filed a letter with the Commission seeking authority to amend its tariff for the
purpose of passing along to its customers in Lone Pine Mobile Home Park and Cross
Creek Pond Mobile Home Park in Cumberland County, North Carolina, the increased cost
of purchasing water and service from the, Public Works Commission of Fayetteville (PWC).
The Public Staff has reviewed the Applicant's request and recommends that the
Applicant be allowed to increase its rate for water utility service from $2.08 to $2.18 per
1,000 gallons for water utility serviceand from $4.11 to $4.20 per 1,000 gallons for sewer
utility service. This increase will allow the Applicant to recover the additional expenses
without exceeding its authorized return.
Based upon the foregoing, the Commission is of the opinion that the Applicant
should be allowed to increase its rates as recommended by the Public Staff.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED as follows:
1. That Community Investments, LLC, is granted a tariff revision for Lone Pine
Mobile Home Park and Cross Creek Pond Mobile Home Park in Cumberland County, North
Carolina, as set forth herein.
2. - That the Schedule of Rates, attached as Appendix A, is approved and
deemed to be filed with the Commission pursuant to G.S. 62-138. Said Schedule of Rates
is authorized to become effective for service rendered on and after the date of this Order.

That a copy of the Notice to Customers, attached as Appendix B, shall be
mailed with sufficient postage or hand delivered by the Applicant to all its customers in
Lone Pine Mobile Home Park and Cross Creek .Pond Mobile Home Park
contemporaneously with the next billing to customers.

Notice is given that the North Carolina Utilities Commission has granted Community
Investments, LLC, authority to increase its rates for water and sewer utility service provided
in Lone Pine Mobile Home Park and Cross Creek Pond Mobile Home Park in Cumberland
County, North Carolina, for the purpose of passing along the increased cost of purchasing
water and sewer utility service from the Public Works Commission of Fayetteville. The
Commission has approved the following newrate_ s effective for service provided on and
after the date ofthis Nofice: - --
