On July 5, 2012, Division of Water Quality (DWQ) personnel, Lauren Witherspoon, conducted a site inspection at
307 Clearport Drive in Cary, NC. During this site inspection and subsequent file review, Ms. Witherspoon
determined that the UT to Crabtree Creek (labeled A on Attached documentation) is not on the Soil Survey of
Wake County and /or the USGS topographic map (1:24000) and is therefore, not subject to the Neuse River
riparian buffer rules.
Based on my site visit and file review, it has been determined that the subject project is "Exempt" from the Neuse
River Riparian Buffer Rules and written concurrence from DWQ in not required.
You should obtain or otherwise comply with any other required federal, state or local permits before proceeding
with the project, including (but not limited to) Erosion and Sediment Control regulations.
