HomeMy WebLinkAboutMemo_DOD MS4 Renewal App Info_20210223 MEMORANDUM DATE: February 23, 2021 TO: DOD MS4s FROM: Jeanette Powell, MS4 Program Coordinator CC: DEMLR Stormwater Permitting Program Files SUBJECT: Supplemental Information Submittal for Permit Renewal Application The purpose of the memorandum is to clarify the current permit renewal application requirements for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permitted Department of Defense facilities. A signed permit renewal application must be on file. However, the Draft Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) required in Part IV: Required Supplemental Information of the permit renewal form is not required at this time. Once the MS4 has been audited, an Audit Report detailing any deficiencies and an enforcement notice with specific instructions for developing the new Draft SWMP utilizing the appropriate DEQ template will be issued. If the MS4 has not yet been audited, then please submit the following pre-audit documentation to serve as the required supplemental information for the permit renewal application. A web link to the information is also an acceptable submittal. a. Current Stormwater Plan b. Comprehensive Watershed Protection Plan c. Monitoring Plan d. Annual Reports not already on file (2016 – 2020) e. MS4 Program organizational chart and associated program responsibilities for staff/positions f. MS4 map of outfalls and receiving waters You can verify that this information is in the permit file by searching the permit number for the file in the online Stormwater Program Laserfiche Repository.
