It appears to be within compliance in all areas that were inspected. Al]. laboratory records were being properly maintained. No violations of the NPDES permit occurred during the period covered during the inpsection: One area that needs attention is the procedures and documentation_ associated with the Field Parameter Certification. Temperature and pH are the two parameters this facility is required and certified to do in the' (coat.) Since being properly certified in December 2002, this facility has only been analyzing pH and not temperature. Also, the calibration of the pH meter has not been properly documented. A calibration log reeds to be maintained at all times. Mr. Fred Bone, with the N.C. Division of Water Quality , Laboratory Certification Section, has been notified of these deficiencies. Mr. Bone has scheduled an inspection with this facility to address these problem areas and to assist with implementing a correct Field Parameter Certification program.
