Dear Ms. Allen:
On March 28, 2012, you and Division of Water Quality (DWQ) personnel, Lauren Witherspoon, met on -site to
discuss your proposal toinstall an underground electric utility line crossing a stream featurat the current terminus
of Town Drive. During the site visit; you informed DWQ that disturbance would be minimal and would be either
dug by hand along the existing guardrail or bored. Based on site observations it appears that installation would be
along an existing transportation facility (please see attached map)
Based on our conversation and site observations, it has been determined that the subject projectis "Exempt" from
the Neuse River Riparian Buffer Rules and written coneurrencefrom DWQ in not required
You should obtain or otherwise comply with any other required federal, site or local permits before proceeding
with the project, including (but not limited to) Erosion and Sediment Control regulations.
This letter completes the review of your application bpWQ. If you have any questions, please contactLauren
Witherspoon in the Raleigh Regional Office at(919) 791 -4251.
Sincerely,
Lauren Witherspoon
