Dear Mr. Cleary:
This is to reply to your letter of October 25, 1988, to Mr.
Roger Lewis, Manager, Waste Management of N. C., Inc., in refference
to Application WQ0000508, Truck Wash, Union Road, Gaston County and
our telephone conversation on November 7, 1988. The items Nyou
mention and our replies are the following:
1. The two soil borings were made within the proposed
nitrification field.
2. Groundwater was not encountered in either of the it
borings.
3. There are no indications of presence or absence of a
seasonal high water table in that the land is a moderate "upland".
4. The existing well is to provide domestic use of water to the
existing building at the site. No information is available on the
well construction in that it has been existing for quite some time.
It is estimated the well will pump 15 Gallons Per Minute,
5. There are no other wells within 500 feet of the proposed
facility.
Please advise if there are any questions on the above.
Sincerely,
FOX----,&. RITTER, INC.
