Subject Courtesy notification for the use of a NW 3 & 13 request for pipe replacement and riprap
placement on SR 1510 Jenkins Mill Rd 0 5 miles east of SR 1509 in Northampton County
This is a courtesy notification from the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the use of
a NW 3 & 13 permit for the replacement of a pipe and riprap placement on SR 1510 in Northampton
County The pipe is located 0 5 miles east of SR 1509 (36 39561 77 277803) The existing pipes are 2 @
48 x 40 Corrugated Metal Pipe The pipes will be completely removed following NCDOT BMP s for
pipe replacement The proposed pipe is 1 @ 72 x 50 Corrugated Aluminum Arch Pipe with riprap on both
ends There is an additional existing 1 @ 72 x 50 Corrugated Metal Pipe that will stay in place During
the project construction it is anticipated that dewatermg of the site will not be necessary The pipe is
located in Wildcat Swamp Class C NSW waters Permit drawings and a topo map are included in this
