STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN APPROVAL
Dear Mr Turpm
On February 23 2009 the North Carolina Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your
application for a 401 General Water Quality Certification to impact 147 linear feet of stream Per the
Pre construction Notification Form (PCN) Form submitted on your behalf by your consultant Mr
Eddie Bunn P E of Bunn Engineering Company P C (dated February 20 2009 and received
February 29 2009) the purpose of the stream impact is to provide access to the 161 acre site and to
develop a 2 3 acre parcel and build a drug store
In order to meet Condition (12) of the General Certification 3705 for the Crawford Village Drug
Store portion of the site a site plan for the drug store dated January 31 2012 was received on
February 2 2012 This plan indicates that impervious surface comprises 22% of the site (0 69 acre
out of a total area of 3 13 acres)
This site plan (received February 2 2012) has been reviewed by the DWQ and has been found
acceptable to meet the low density provisions of General Certification 3705 If a future compliance
inspection were to show that the site had exceeded the high density impervious surface threshold in
General Certification 3705 (equal to or greater than 24 %) you would be required to develop submit
for DWQ approval and implement stormwater best management practices to treat the runoff from
the site These practices would be required to comply with the NC DENR Stormwater Best
Management Practices Manual that is in effect at the time the site plan violation were noted
The future phases of the 161 acre development will be required to comply with the applicable 401
stormwater management requirements that are in place at the time the site plan is developed and
approved Also if the property is sold the new owner must be given a copy of this approval letter and is
thereby responsible for complying with all conditions in this letter
