Marshall Steam Station - NCS000548 — Catawba County
Year 6 Period 1 - Semi -Annual Monitoring Results
Dear Sir or Madam:
In accordance with Part III, E(2) of the above referenced NPDES Stormwater permit, the original
and one copy of the Stormwater Discharge Outfall (SDO) monitoring reports containing results of
the Year 6 - Period 1 stormwater monitoring is attached.
Samples were collected from stormwater outfalls SW002, SW003, SW007, SW008, SW011,
SW012, SW022 and SW025 on December 20, 2020, and the corresponding stormwater DMR for
this monitoring event is attached. Outfall 012A is reported as NO FLOW for the December 2020
monitoring event as it has been removed, as discussed with NCDEQ, due to regrading activities
within the drainage collection area. No permit benchmarks were exceeded during this monitoring
event.
Results reported indicate that SWO07 has satisfied requirements of Tier 2 conditions with three
consecutive monitoring events reported below corresponding benchmarks. Outfall SWO08
remains in Tier 3 status due to four intermittent TSS values being reported outside the benchmark
range within the permit cycle. The Tier 3 status will be removed upon receipt of the new permit
currently under review.
