This is to document that technical assistance has been given regarding the operation of the
Ansonville Wastewater Treatment Facility on October 25, 2006. This technical assistance was
conducted by telephone to give recommendations in regard to fecal coliform violations. As always
you are to be commended for calling for assistance when needed, in order to protect water quality
and the permittee from assessed civil penalties. See the attached technical assistance summary for
details that were'discussed.

Ansonville WWTP operator Frankie Roberts called by telephone to report a weekly Max violationfor fecal.
coliform. I suggested to him 'to sample as early in the week as possible in order to_have time to collect
additional samples if necessary to better the average to meet compliance. In addition I 'recommended that
he make-surethat he has an adequate chlorine residual of (0.5-0.7 mg/I) before collecting a fecal sample.
Unusually high total suspended solids can also cause inadequate disinfection, resulting in high fecal
