The Compliance Evaluation Inspection was conducted by Trent Allen of the Fayetteville Regional Office. As noted in past inspections, the treatment plant is in dire need of repairs and painting. It was observed during the inspection that metal portions of the treatment plant had deteriorated completely or needed cleaning and painting: The plant needs to be evaluated for structural integrity, safety for plant personnel, and the continued treatment of the wastewater. You are asked to complete a plan of action to address these issues and respond back to the Fayetteville Regional Office within 30 days of receipt of this letter. As a reminder, preservation of the Waters of the State can only be achieved through consistent NPDES Permit compliance. The effluent flow meter was last calibrated on March 2011. The effluent appeared to be very clear at the time of the inspection.
