Christy, Joanne, and Stephen:
I have had a discussion with Watson- Matthews, Inc., the client /applicant on the project. They are meeting with their
project partners to make a decision on how best to proceed. I have communicated to them the preference of DCM to have
other State permits and approvals in -hand prior to the Consistency Determination, and that the Consistency Determination
must be in -hand prior to the IP being issued by the Corps. I believe that a decision on how best to reorganize design and
planning priorities will be made within the next two weeks, at which time we will also have the mitigation issues and the
protective covenant issues worked too. Based on this timeline, I would imagine that the next submittal to DCM, DWQ and
the Corps on this project will be in the Thanksgiving timeframe.
In the meantime, if there are substantive issues that arise during your agency's respective reviews of the information
submitted thus far, I would appreciate an e-mail so that I can try to solve the issue in advance of any submittal to all
agencies later this month.
Thank you,
Jim
