Please reference your letter dated May 17, 2004, in regard to a request for permit modification
for TIP U-2524 AB (Greensboro Western Urban Loop). Specifically, you requested the plans
for the stream relocation located at site #28 be changed to include fabric lined diversion
channels at the two locations where the constructed stream channel overlaps the existing
stream channel.
After reviewing the plans for the stream relocation and the conditions of your permit, it is our
determinations that the proposed fabric lined diversion channels fall within the scope of your
existing sec 404 permit authorization. Thus, you will not need a permit modification to do the
proposed work. To satisfy our concerns for situations such as the proposed fabric lined
diversion, we require notification and plans for review. You have satisfied those
requirements with your letter and plans dated May 17, 2004. The plans and this memo will be
included in the files of your sec 404 permit
