the plan overall is fine. it is picking all the stormwater from the site including
the race track, which all goes into the surrounding streams. but things to
consider
1) A couple of the storm water ponds are to be built on-line. How are they going
to account for the stream flow into/out of the storm pond?
a) are they going to construct french drains under the pond? in area #2 (the 6
acre pond) this probably is not a good idea since the stream that discharges from a
pipe at the upper end also receives storm flow. OR....
b) are they going to some how account for the flow through of the stream and
somehow treat it before it discharges.
2) Area #1, the stream that is not to be impacted and is at the toe slope for the
parking area. This area should be planted with vegetation (for geo thermal stream
purposes).
3) precautions need to be made to account for the unlined landfill which is
surrounding/adjacent to these storm water wetlands.
The streams look like urban streams. Interestingly a lot of iron bacteria (or looks
like iron bacteria). Even in the larger stream.
