Dear Mr. Setzer:
On May 10, 2011, I inspected the bridge construction work on NCSR 1 134 (Joyce Kilmer Road) in Graham
County. The contractor had just started work since being shut down for the winter.
Please continue to ensure that all sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and that seeding and
mulching are performed as needed to protect downstream waters. Please refer to the attached copy of the
inspection report for any additional comments regarding the inspection.

Reviewed project with NCDOT staff. Contractor had just started work since shutting down for the winter.
Work was starting on the east side end bent.
All sediment and erosion control measures appeared to be operating properly.
Continue to maintain erosion control devices and continue with seeding and matting as required to protect State
surface waters.
