Hanes Mill Road Winston-Salem, NC 27105 RE: Fast Track Sewer System Extension Permit Modification MGM Warehouse Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation City of Eden, North Carolina WKD Project No. 20190203.00.RA Dear Mr. Henderson: NC Department of Environmental Quality Received DEC 21 2020 Winston-Salem Regional Office The City of Eden intends to construct a new pump station at the MGM Warehouse site to enable continued use and economic expansion of the facility. The MGM Warehouse facility has a private gravity sewer and a wastewater treatment facility with NPDES discharge NC0001643. This submittal is for a permit modification (WQCS00018) to add gravity sewer, a triplex pump station and force main that will collect and pump wastewater to the Mebane Bridge Treatment Facility (NC0025071). The existing private sewer has been surveyed and inspected by CCTV. Based on the condition of the gravity sewer encountered only minor rehabilitation is needed. This gravity sewer will be used to reroute flow from the Warehouse and nearby City permitted Weil McLain and New Street pump stations. By rerouting the two City pump station flows, approximately 30,780 gallons per day will be rerouted away from the Covenant Branch pump station. The proposed MGM pump station will be a triplex suction lift pump station with a 12-foot diameter wet well. The sewer piping to connect the proposed pump station to the existing sewer system includes 93 linear feet of 6-inch reinforced joint ductile iron pipe force main and 66 linear feet of 24- inch PVC gravity sewer. We are requesting a permit WQCS00018 for construction of the proposedsewer, force main, and proposed MGM pump station. 300 N.
