Hey I left you a message earlier about the email below but I just wanted to check to make sure that neither you nor Larry
had any issue with the requested submittal time extension. As of this morning it appears that NCSU has worked out the
remaining issue so we'll be getting our contract with them in place shortly. Once this is done we'll get the written
Monitoring Plan in for you approval.

•Hey.a~ the 60 day deadline is almost upon us I'd like to formally request an extension of 30 days to the deadline far
submittal of our final proposal for site monitoring. This would give us until February 30tH
At this point I have no reason to believe that the draft Monitoring Plan we discussed during our meeting last week wil!
change but based on a discussion I had earlier today with Rachel Miller of NCSU she can't approve its submittal to DWQ
until they sort through some internal administrative items. It really comes down to who'll have the reins on the project
once construction is complete and it goes to the monitoring phase.
Rachel is optimistic that they can have a decision in the next week or so but I'd prefer to ask for the full 30 day extension
upfront just in case the decision isn't that quick. I hope you understand.
From our discussion I understand this email should suffice for our request. Please don't hesitate to call me if you have
any questions or need any additional information.
