How high will the berms be? Berms are anticipated to be approximately 10' high. The final migitation plan, to be submitted to the USACE and DWQ prior to construction, will provide details on the proposed location and height of the berms. 2. Will berms be removed after the mitigation site has been completed? Spoil mounds may be removed during the construction process. However, this is dependent upon the Applicant obtaining a mining permit and the demand for the material being excavated. Therefore, it is possible that some, if not all, of the spoil piles will remain indefinately. 3. The USACE would like to see cuts in the long berm, shown adjacent to Section 5 on the Mitigation Map. The exhibit has been revised to relfect the cuts in the berm. 4. Will the pits at the Quarry be connected? The Applicant intends to keep in line with the original reclamation plan configuration. To ensure that the 2 million gal per day pumping limit is not exceeded, the Applicant intends to create berms to section off pits.
