Dear Mr. Helder:
The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your 401 Water Quality Certification application for the subject
project on March 19, 2007. Mr. Alan Johnson of this Office has visited the site and reviewed your application and based
on his review the following information is needed by this office in order to issue the 401 Certification:
a) Please provide details of the area to be restored upon completion of the road crossing. A plant list must be
provided.
b) Additional culverts are required to maintain the hydrology of the wetland. Please provide details (plan view,
cross section, and profile).
Pursuant to 15A NCAC 2H .0507(h), please be advised that this project will be placed on hold until such time as the
requested information has been received. In addition, this office is requesting that the Army Corps of Engineers withhold
processing the 404 permit until the requested information is provided.
