Dear Mr. Teague:
On December 15, 2020 Division of Water Resources Winston Salem Regional Office staff Caitlin
Caudle conducted a scheduled routine compliance inspection of the above referenced permitted
facility. A review of the subject facility reflected non-compliance with the Animal Waste General
Permit. The following deficiency was noted:
Per Permit Condition 111.8 "the Permittee must maintain weekly stocking and mortality
records for the facility... Pastured animals not contributing waste to the animal waste
management systems should not be counted on the monthly stocking records." At the
time of inspection, no stocking records were provided. During the last compliance
inspection, the Permittee was reminded to keep weekly stocking records. Moving
forward, please make sure to record weekly stocking records of any animals
contributing to the waste system.
