HomeMy WebLinkAbout20100617 Ver 1_Staff Comments_20101014Project Name: Project Number: City & County: Date Received: Comments Date: Hello Alan: Proposed Walgreen Store 10-0617 Denver, Lincoln October 12, 2010 October 14, 2010 I have reviewed the latest SMP dated 09129/10 (Engineer's sealed date) for this project received in our office on October 12, 2010. I have spoken with the Engineer Mr. Todd Fisher, PE who said they have another revision that may address my comments below. So please send this out so they can submit their revised plans. Here are my comments: (1) Maintenance of the Sand Filter such as cleaning the sediment chamber and/or replacing the top of the media will be extremely challenging as there are not sufficient access points provided along the longer chamber dimension. Please provide enough access points on both chambers for ease of maintenance. Alternatively. the configuration may be changed from the side-by-side layout of the chambers to an end-to end with two 2 4'x6' access points provided for each chamber. (2) Please submit a signed and notarized Sand Filter Operation and Maintenance Agreement so we may issue the 401 Water Quality Certification. (3) Please provide calculations for the 40 hours draining time ol'the Sand Filter Cliamher as indicated on the Supplement Dorm. NOTE: Please check their response to Comment 1 of your letter for more info. How is the project area defined by the Corps? It appears to me they are trying to avoid future SNIP requirement for Parcel B which seems to be part of the project area. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks. ,Toe.
