landfill comes under a different stormwater permit (The NCG120000 NPDES general permit for landfills), and the NCG01
would no longer apply.

Construction of the new phase of the Cherokee County municipal landfill has been completed. I am currently discussing
whether we should be submitting a NOT or continuing the Construction NPDES permit (NCC191124) with our consulting
engineer, Wayne Sullivan at MESCO
We are, of course, continuing to maintain the General NPDES permit #NCG010000 because land disturbance activities
will continue at this active landfill.

not approved for the following reason:
A Solid Waste Permit from NC DWM is not adequate close-out documentation. You must provide final close-out
inspection documentation from the authority who approved the E&SC Plan. However, because of the nature of this
activity, you may need to maintain active coverage under the NCG010000 Construction Stormwater general permit (if
land disturbance will continue). Please verify that before submitting an NOT request for this COC. (Also, an NOT
Certification form was not uploaded.)
