Rohm and Haas Chemicals LLC - Charlotte Site
Dear Ms. McCoy:
The Rohm and Haas Chemicals LLC site in Charlotte, NC ceased manufacturing operations as of the
end of August 2019. All discharges associated with industrial activity will cease as of December 7
upon completion of wastewater treatment system demolition. It is requested that NPDES permit
NCS000386 be rescinded. A recission request form is attached.
A sale agreement has been reached with a buyer with the tentative closure date set before the end of
2020. Should the sale not be finalized, the site will be demolished, and it is understood that all
applicable stormwater permit and regulatory requirements must be met in this situation.
Per previous communication, there will be no employees on site after Friday, December 11. As a
result, a final inspection is requested between the dates of December 8-11.
