Steve and Gary,
Sheet CS-B of the submittal that DWQ received on May 17, 2010 shows that there are two discharge points for Lot 9 that
discharge into a sediment and erosion control device. The sheet shows the sediment and erosion control device being
placed in the existing ephemeral channel (and thus removing it). Therefore, if the design on this sheet has been
implemented already, then the existing channel has been removed - also removing the exemption for the existing
stormwater ditch.
If the design on the sheet has not been implemented already, and the sediment control device can be reconfigured such
that it does riot impact the existing channel, then I will need to see more detail before I can approve the exemption. If
this is the case„ then please provide a plan detail of the outlet structures with a depiction of the drainage area of each
outlet point at a 1" = 30' scale or larger (please also include contour lines, existing and proposed impervious surfaces,
strearn, buffer and wetland features, etc.). Sheet CB-5 refers to the construction phase of the project and I will need to
see the final proposal. In addition, the calculations submitted seem to apply to only one discharge point, which does not
seem to match the information on the plan sheet. I am going to field verify the plan you submit prior to approval.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Annette

Annette -- I am attaching calculations from Gary McCabe showing that the runoff from Lot 9 development enters the buffer
via the pre-existing conveyance at non-erosive velocity. Is that what you are looking for? If not, please let me know what
additional information you require. Thanks. Steve
