Enclosed is the application and the sludge management plans for the facility. There have been no additions to the plant since the last permit renewal. Yours truly, Carl Beacham Jr. EOU DEC 14 2001 UENR-WATER DUALITY POINT SOURCE BRANCH Sludge Management Plan When our sludge settles in ajar for about 20 minutes at 40 — 45%, we start removing it by the clarifiers return. It is pumped to the sludge holding tank to be aerated and thickened. When the tank is full, the air is cut off for about six hours. The clear water on top is then pumped back to the head of the plant. The air is cut back on and the tank is refilled. This process is continued until there is not enough water to pump off. Hydrated lime is then mixed with the sludge until a pH of 12 is maintained for at least 2 hours. The sludge is remove to permitted application fields and applied. % Solids, TCLIPs and soil testing is done at least annually. Cover crops are grown and harvested on these fields.
