At last renewal, the wla indicated that the facility should have a choice between toxicity test or ammonia limit. Because the facility was capable of acheiving the ammonia limit, it was included in the permit. In the summer of 1994, the permittee requested a modification of the ammonia limit. The Division agreed, and modified the limit from 1.0/1.8 mg/l to 2.0 mg/1 year round. Monitoring data suggest that the facility is meeting this limit, the BOD limit of 5.0 mg/I, and the phosphorus limit of 2.0 mg/l. Instream data show no violations of DO standard. Fecal measurements instream appear high, but the effluent fecal data are very low. P&E recommends renewal with existing limits and changes noted above.
