The Round Hill Branch Restoration Site (RHBRS) is a fullldelivery stream
mitigation project being
developed for the North Carolina Division of Mitigation Services (DMS) in
the French Broad River Basin
(06010105 81digit cataloging unit) in Buncombe County, North Carolina.
The site's natural hydrologic
regime has been substantially modified through the relocation and
straightening of the existing stream
channels, livestock impacts, and clearing of the riparian buffers. This site
offers the chance to restore
streams impacted by pasture and agriculture to a stable stream ecosystem
with a functional riparian
buffer and floodplain access.
