Shields Mobile Home Park Wastewater Collection System
Dear Mrs. Shields:
On September 22, 2020, Gary Hudson of the Division of Water Resources (Division), Winston-
Salem Regional Office met with Mike Carson to conduct a Compliance Evaluation Inspection of the
above referenced Wastewater Collection System.
This inspection consists of (1) a review of the permit and accompanying documentation
to determine compliance with permit conditions, and (2) an on -site inspection of collection
system components. The attached inspection form notes the areas that were evaluated for the
inspection, with notable findings outlined as follows.
Site Inspections
There is one pump station in the system, and it was found to be operational and
checked every day. The entire wastewater collection system was observed during the
inspection and no discrepancies were noted.

* This is a very small system with only 9 mobile homes in the park. The ORC observes the entire system at least once per
week. One of the residences keeps the sand filter cleaned and checks the pump station daily.
