Hi Amanda,
Your recollection of our previous conversation is correct. Since that time, the Club has changed the timing of the
planned work a bit. The only work proposed to be performed in 2021 is completion of the work that was submitted in
the 2019 permit application package for the dredge project. The current schedule has the dam repairs and associated
work as well as the additional area of bank stabilization along the Linville River delayed to 2022. Therefore, there is no
change to the previously authorized impacts in terms of project scope or footprint for the 2021 work. We would handle
the permitting for the dam work and the bank stabilization next year, in preparation for construction in 2022.
Please let me know your thoughts on what is needed at this time to prepare for the 2021 construction effort to
complete the dredge project. If you prefer to talk through the plans, I am available today and tomorrow as well as much
of next week by phone, generally until 3:30pm each day.
Thanks,
Ms. Keven Arrance

Caution! External email — think before you click
Hi Keven,
For some reason this one got dumped into my spam so trying to catch up...
From I remember from our last conversation, I indicated we could modify the existing permit and solicit comments from
the agencies on the proposed changes (new stability berm/dam rehab which has minor impacts and more importantly
changes to dewatering scenarios (which I thought included pumping around) to address NOV issues). I thought I was
waiting on this information/modification and this modification may not even need to go out on Public Notice but we
would at least send a notice out the agencies asking for comments. From my understanding from WRC based on the
most recent on -site meeting, they would recommend Grandfather commit to pumping clean water around the work
area and lake continuously and not refilling the lake until April 16 (so that part of the permit/conditions would be
modified to reflect this).
I'm not sure if this is what you are asking so let me know if we need to have a call to clarify..

Good afternoon, all.
GGCC is looking at their schedules for completion of the dredge project, repair of the dam, and a new area of bank
stabilization immediately upstream of the west channel/east channel split. One possible scenario is that completion of
the dredge project be done in 2021 and the dam repair and new bank stabilization be done in 2022. They asked for
confirmation from the three of you that completion of the previously approved dredge project (dredging of the west
channel) can be performed beginning January 1, 2021 under the current Individual 404 permit, Individual 401 water
quality certification, and trout water variance with no change to the original authorizations' restrictions, conditions, and
requirements. Regardless of the schedule scenario selected, the contractor who did the work this year will not be
involved in future work on Club property, at least not any that involve in -water work. A contractor who is experienced
and competent with water handling in sensitive waterways and watersheds will be selected for the upcoming work.
Please confirm.
Thank you for your time.
