Matt,
The Industrial Storm Water Permit NCS000571 for Rogers Energy Complex requires the following:
"Should the permittee identify or create any new stormwater outfalls; remove any stormwater outfalls identified in
this permit; or alter any drainage areas that change the potential pollutants in runoff discharged through
corresponding outfalls, the permittee will submit a request to NC DEMLR to modify this permit."
At Rogers Energy Complex the storm water discharge pipe SWO12 was in place for a previous sediment basin. With
the site now being stable this outfall was recently modified to incorporate a rock pathway versus a standpipe
leaving the basin. Outfall SWO12 still exists but just wanted to inform you that the actual discharge structure has
been modified.
Within the next month or two (October or November 2020 timeframe) plans are to remove two storm water pipes
(SW018A and SW018B). These discharge pipes are being removed as part of the ash storage area closure activity.
Please advise if you need any additional information.
Thanks,
Robert Wylie
