The reason for the overages was due to not being able to provide enough air to the basins, in particular SBR #2. The blowers were struggling to provide the needed air requirements due to breaks in the airlines/diffusers and with blown seals in the blowers. We were able to get 2 blowers running to SBR#2 on May 9th. Blower #4 was removed and sent out to be rebuilt on May 20th. The problems with the airlines/diffusers could not be addressed till the basin was taken offline, which meant SBR #3 had to have it's repairs completed. I had been making those repairs to SBR #3 in order to put it on line, but the lag time to get parts delivered was putting me behind schedule. The last of the parts needed (AUMA actuator for the influent valve) was ordered on March 16, 2020. The actuator arrived the first week in June and when we scheduled to install it on June 8th, we discovered they had sent the wrong coupling. The coupling was sent back to them to be fixed and it wasn't received back till July 1st. Once again the coupling was not built to spec and I had to find a local machine shop to make more adjustments to it. The actuator was installed on July 2 and SBR # 3 was put in service on July 8. Once we got SBR #2 drained, the damage to the diffusers/airlines was significant. A 20 foot section of main trunk line had blown off(see picture below). Multiple diffusers had also broken off and that allowed sludge to get packed in all the remaining diffusers. Almost all the diffuser rubber sleeves had ruptured or were packed with sludge. This had caused the restriction in the air system that kept blowing the seals on our blowers.
