Dear Ms. Tunstall:
The Municipal Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the request to drop the following industry
from the list of significant industrial users (SIUs) for the City of Lincolnton, City of Lincolnton WWTP (NPDES
#: NC0025496). The drop request was received by the Division on April 30, 2020.
SIU # SIU NAME
0028 Celadon Recycling Solutions
The review indicates that the SIU has voluntarily disconnected from the City's sewer and thus no longer meets the
definition of a SIU. Therefore, the SIU drop request is approved based on compliance with 15 NCAC 2H
.0907(b) and .0903(b)(33). The SIU list which is part of your approved pretreatment program is hereby modified.
Federal and State pretreatment regulations require the local delegated pretreatment program to effectively control
and document the discharge of wastewater from Significant/Categorical Industrial Users to the POTW. It is the
POTW's responsibility to ensure that these objectives are consistently met.
