Additional information will be required in order to complete the review process. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project. Additional Information Requested: 1. According to your application, the dewatering facility has been designed to utilize one (1) basin. Condition 16 of General Water Quality Certification 3700 (GC 3700), which must accompany the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permit 16, requires hydraulic dredging projects in mountain lakes to utilize a two-basin design. Please modify your dewatering facility design to match Condition 16 or explain how your project will meet the water-quality protection goals set forth by said condition and not violate water quality standards. 2. Section B. 6 Future Project Plans of your application indicated that this is not a phased project and Section F. 3. Cumulative Impacts of your application indicated this project will not result in additional development. Please confirm that additional development of the property is not being planned that would require additional impacts to waters or stormwater management planning. GC 3700 Condition 15 states: "Native forested vegetation shall be re-established in any construction access or other temporary impact area within the next growing season following construction of a project." Your application did not indicate the intended final condition of the construction access areas or dewatering basin. Please explain the details of your project related to meeting Condition 15. Please provide your response in writing to the addresses below prior to March 8, 2010. This letter only addresses the preliminary application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers.
