the Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources (DEMLR) of benchmark value exceedance for Outfa[l
SDO-2 for total suspended solids and SDO-2 & SDO-6 for copper. We will continue to conduct monthly
sampling while looking for solutions to the continuous benchmark exceedances.

Subject Report of Stormwater Qutfall Inspection and Sampling - June 2020

Dear Ms, Stennis
As authorized by acceptance of our proposal dated September 2016 and your requests to continue
sampling, Blue Ridge Geological Services, lite. (Bltae Ridge) personnel performed additional
environmental services at the subject site. The work was perfonned in general accordance with the
Stonnwater Pollution Prevention flan (SWPPP) prepared for the subject site as well as the requirements of
NCDEQ NP'DES General Permit. On :tune 16, 2020.Blue Ridge personnel performed a stonnwater outfall
inspection and sainpli:ng event at the subject site during a measureable rainfall event. Rainfall data was.
obtained from a nearby weather station using Accuwcather. According to the website, the area in the vicinity
of the subject site received approximately 1.25 inches of rain during the storrn event.
Blue Ridge personnel observed the stonnwater discharge at outfalls SDO-1 through SDO-3, SDO-6, and
SDO-7 and completed stonnwater discharge outfall (SDO) qualitative monitoring report forms for each of
these outfalls. The SDO forms are attached. The pH of the samples was ii7casured in the field using an
Oakton pH meter and recorded on the SDO forms. No environmental issues were observed at the outfalls
during this inspection (except noticeable silty runoff from onsite construction activities enter the stonnwater
system and nearby creeks in the western part of the site). Field personnel collected samples from each of the
stornwater outfalls, placed the samples into labeled containers, completed a chain of custody (COC) form,
and submitted the samples and COC form to Meritech personnel.
This inspection report and the SDO forms should be placed in the SWPP Flan or a file on site and they do not
need to be submitted to the NCDEQ. We will attempt to perform the next stonnwater inspection/sampling
event at the site before July 31, 2020. We appreciate the opportunity to continue to assist you on this
