(b), 3. (c)(1) and 3. (c)(2) Coal Ash Impoundment Excavation and Closure, Riverbend Steam Station —Ash Basin I and Ash Basin 2. Dear Mr. Draovitch: On March 11, 2020, the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) received the Documentation of Compliance with the Coal Ash Management Act of 2014, Session Law 2014-12Z Section 3. (b), 3. (c)(1) and 3. (c)(2) Coal Ash Impoundment Excavation and Closure, Riverbend Steam Station —Ash Basin I and Ash Basin 2 letter from Duke Energy. DEQ has reviewed this letter and is providing the following comments: • In the list of State or Federal Permits Obtained or Anticipated for Impoundment Closure, Duke Energy states there are no identified jurisdictional wetlands/stream impacts. Please provide DEQ with documentation from the US Army Corps of Engineers that either a preliminary or a complete jurisdictional wetlands/stream assessment has been conducted.
