Send all suspicious email as an attachment to ort.spam@nc.gov Lon and Jenny, I just want to follow up on the email I sent to you guys on May 13, 2020 about bypassing the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) outfall to connect the generator for the effluent pumps to Duke Energy transformer and electrical panels. With the assistance of Duke Energy, Watson Electrical successfully completed the work yesterday (May 27, 2020). In the meantime, the City of Reidsville WWTP discharged approximately 1.434 million gallons of treated wastewater into Little Troublesome Creek from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Should you guys have any questions or need additional information please feel free to contact me at 336 349 1102 or at bbani@ci.reidsville.nc.us. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to lurt.—Spam@nc.gov Lon, As mentioned in our response to the Notice of Violation (NOV-2019-PC-0714) for discharging treated wastewater into Little Troublesome Creek, the City of Reidsville has purchased a generator to power its wastewater treatment plant effluent pumps during power outage. The construction started in December 2019 and was delayed for a few reasons. We have resumed work and are expecting a shutdown of approximately 12 hours on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 to connect the generator to the main power line. During that shutdown, the treated wastewater will be discharged into Little Troublesome Creek. A complete report will be sent to you afterward. Also, I would like to reiterate that the City will seal off the old pipe that discharges the effluent into Little Troublesome Creek upon completion of the project.
