In November 2018, we completed a tiered monitoring event as required by the permit. In addition, zinc which was missed during the October monitoring event at OF002 was analyzed. Also, a background (BG001) sample for comparison of copper and zinc was collected. There was an exceedance of the BMV for copper at OF001 and at the background sampling location. There were also exceedances of the BMV for zinc at OF001, OF002, OF003, and the background sampling location. A tiered response monitoring event will be conducted during the next qualifying rain event in accordance with Part II, Section B of the general permit. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (252) 972-6025, or our environmental consultant, Rob Duffy of Antea Group at (704) 324-7035.
