Facility Activities and Processes:
• SIC Code: 2899 — Chemicals and Chemical Preparations
• The facility manufactures carbon black dispersion. Powder goes into a large tank and then
chemicals are added to produce a final product. The final product is then put into drums. Only
industrial activity outside is the loading and unloading of trucks which is a partial covered.
Monitoring Information:
• There is one stormwater outfall that goes through a pipe under the road on the north west
corner of the property.
• We have no DMRs in Laserfiche or in our paper files. I only have access to previous permits, the
2009 staff report, and the application.
Impairment:
• This site discharges to impaired waters experiencing problems with fish tissue mercury and fish
community
*There is a note in the 2009 Staff report that the facility lost all the file materials for this location. DEQ
staff went through permit to discuss all items and paperwork needed to recreate book and necessary
review time.
