On March 10, 2020, Julianna Hawley and Lauren Goyne of Charlotte -Mecklenburg Storm
Water Services (CMSWS) conducted an inspection of the above referenced facility as a
requirement of the City of Charlotte's NPDES Permit, NCS000240, Part II, Section H. Inspection
authority is granted by Charlotte City Code Chapter 18, Article III, Section 18-82. At the time of
inspection, the facility was observed to be in compliance with the City of Charlotte Storm Water
Pollution Control Ordinance.
The inspection was also conducted as part of a cooperative working agreement between
Mecklenburg County and the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) —
Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources (DEMLR). NCDEQ — DEMLR has been copied
on this report and made aware of the following observations regarding the facility's NPDES
stormwater permit:
1) Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP)
A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) has not been developed, recorded, or
implemented. The facility should develop, record, and implement a SPPP per their permit
(NCG080591) requirements in Section II, Part A.
2) Qualitative Monitoring
Qualitative monitoring has not been conducted or recorded. The facility should conduct and record
semi-annual monitoring as required by their permit in Section II, Part D.
3) Permit and Outfalls
A copy of the permit and certificate of coverage were not available onsite. The facility should
have a copy of the permit and certificate of coverage onsite.

Facility Description: Greyhound Lines, Inc. is located at 518 West 4th Street in Charlotte on approximately 3.0 acres.
The facility serves as a bus terminal to transport people and freight.
File Review/History: Charlotte -Mecklenburg Storm Water Services (CMSWS) has not previously inspected the facility.
Inspection Summary: At the time of inspection, the facility was observed to be in compliance with the City of Charlotte

Recommendation
The facility has one municipal trash container onsite. The
dumpsters, scrap metal bins, etc.
rain flaps were observed to be damaged. CMSWS
recommends contacting the waste company to repair the rain
flaps to protect water quality. Trash and debris were
observed in the waste disposal area. CMSWS recommends
keeping the facility free of debris to prevent stormwater
pollution.
