Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Hey Garcy- I think we sorted it out. I copied Emily on this since the impact numbers were carried through with the 404 as well. Emily if this needs to go to someone else in your office, please let me know and I'll follow up directly with them. The permit drawings and impacts are unchanged from 2015 to 2020 submittals. However, the discrepancy comes from two parts: • Site 2 P Discrepancy is a rounding/decimal place difference. Permit drawings state <0.01 ac, but the ePCN let us submit for the exact value which is 0.001 ac • Site 5 P and T were inadvertently flipped when we typed it into the ePCN in 2020. The compounding discrepancy on that one is that in 2015 we submitted 0.001ac Temporary when we needed to request 0.01ac. The correct permit impacts should be as follows: o Site 5P = 0.08ac o Site 5T = 0.01ac Site 6 T discrepancy is a rounding error within a decimal place difference. Permit drawings state <0.01 ac, but the ePCN let us submit for the exact value which is 0.007 ac. The difference between 0.005 (2015) and 0.007 (2020) appears to be a rounding error on a backend spreadsheet our hydro team used to calculate the impacts in 2015. The 2020 submittal of 0.007ac is correct and what is necessary to build this project. I sincerely apologize for the confusion and the oversight on our impact quantities but I hope this helps clear it up! The office is still open but some folks are teleworking. I'll probably be doing a bit of both. I'll wait to hear from you on those numbers. If they are different, I may have to do a mod rather than a reissuance. We had a field review with Anthony this week and sounded like it was still a variable situation day to day! -Jason Jason Hartshorn, PWS Kimley-Horn 1 421 Fayetteville Street, Suite 600, Raleigh, NC 27601 Direct: 919 678 4155 1 Mobile: 919 417 1781 1 www.kimleV-horn.com [kimley-horn.comj(nam03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com1 From: Ward, Garcy <garcy.ward@ncdenr.gov> Sent: Friday, March 20, 2020 9:08 AM To: Hartshorn, Jason <jason.hartshorn@kimley-horn.com> Subject: FW: Tar River Greenway Garcy Ward Environmental Specialist NC Divison of Water Resources (252)948-3917 From: Ward, Garcy Sent: Friday, March 20, 2020 9:02 AM To: william.sullivan@kimley-horn.com Subject: Tar River Greenway Hey Willie, I'm working on your request for the re -issuance of the 401/BA for the Tar River Greenway. I found some discrepancies with regards to the wetland impact numbers for what was originally requested and approved versus what was in the recent submittal: • Site 2 P original = 0.0004, new = .001 • Site 5 P original = 0.08, new =0.01 • Site 5 T original = .001, new = 0.08 • Site 6 T original = 0.005, new = 0.007 PEI It doesn't add up to much and the total impacts are about the same, but I want to make sure I'm working with the correct numbers. Just let me know after you've had a chance to review. Thanks. Garcy Ward Environmental Specialist NC Divison of Water Resources (252)948-3917
