Dear Mayor Zachary:
Final plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed
and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the con-
struction of modifications and additions to th ; existing 0.30 MGD wastewater p1<ant to
increase the capacity to 0.50 MGD to consist of new bar screen, grit removal unit,
comminutor, 0.20 MGD package treatment unit with aeration basin, final clarifier
and aerobic digester,- new blowers and motors, supernatant return pump station, the
addition of 3,000 square feet of sludge drying beds, disinfection and postaeration
facilities, flow measuring-sampling, 0.30 MG equalization basin and laboratory
facilities.
This is a Class II Wastewater Treatment Plant and the operator in responsi-
ble charge must hold a valid Grade II Certificate.
This Authorization to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless the
proposed facilities are constructed in accotdancr, with the approved plans, speci-
fications, supporting documents, and are in compliance with the conditions and
limitations as specified in Permit No. NC 00210338.
One (1) set of final -approvc.:d plans and specifications is to be forwarded to
you, one (1) set to the Environmental Protection ?1cic-ncy, and two (2) sets to the
Corps of Engineers. You will be notified by L11A when to advertise for bids to
construct this project. You are cautioned not tii arivc_•rtise or initiate construct-
ion until so notified by LPA.
