Box 1338 Lumberton, NC 28359-1388 Subject: Pretreatment Review of Industrial User Pretreatment Permit City of Lumberton (NPDES Permit No: NC0024571) Robeson County Dear Ms. Allen: PERCS Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the original issued Industrial Pretreatment Permit (IUP) submitted by the City of Lumberton for the following Significant Industrial User (SIU). The IUP was received by the Division on February 11, 2020. IUP SIU 023 Sampson County Disposal LLC The review indicates that with the following comments, the IUP is adequate and the minimum requirements of 15A NCAC 2H .0905 and .0916 and 40 CFR 403.8(f) (1) (iii) are met. Your allocation table, maintained in the Division's computer, has been updated accordingly. 1. Pretreatment Unit: The permit indicated pH adjustment, while the application indicated no pretreatment at all. It is assumed that the permit is correct, please have the applicant updated the page 8 of the application to include pH adjustment and send a copy to PERCS file. Otherwise, modify the permit to remove the pretreatment unit. 2. General Condition #10 & #12: Please update the Department reference to "Department of Environmental Quality" and the Division reference to "Division of Water Resources" when the next time the IUP is modified or renewed.
