Subject: Annual Report Review
Town of Mooresville, Iredell County
Permit WQ0036723
Distribution of Residual Solids (503)
The Mooresville Regional Office (MRO) received and reviewed the 2019 Annual Report (AR) for
the above permit.
There seems to be a slight variation of the PAN and SAR calculations between what your
contract lab is presenting and the values obtained by MRO staff. As such, we will email the
spreadsheet we use to determine these values so you may pass this information forward to
your contract lab. Please feel free to contact our office should you have any questions about
the utilization of this tool.
The attached reports should be self-explanatory. However, should you have any questions,
please feel free to contact me at 704-235-2198 or by email at edward.watson@ncdenr.gov.
Sincerely,
EA

Permit: WQ0036723 Owner - Facility: Town of Mooresville
Inspection Date: 02/19/2020 Inspection Type : Annual Report Review Reason for Visit: Routine
Inspection Summary:
This is a review of the 2019 AR. All calculations presented in the AR have been reviewed by MRO staff.
The total tons distributed during 2019 was 752.8.
Although the value differences are relatively small; the question becomes is the contract laboratory using rounding
techniques in some of the calculations? There is approximately a 1 % to 2% variation in the results for both PAN and SAR
calculations.
The MRO will re -submit the spreadsheet to the permittee so they can pass this information to the contract lab.
