The facility has completed its Tier I and 2 review and remains in Tier 3. The lacility is reviewing control measures and Best Management Practices. The facility is attempting to prevent discharges by retaining stormwater so that there will be no.exceedances. The facility's soil is naturally high in mineral content and does not maintain vegetation well. This is believed to be the cause of benchmark exceedances. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 615-730-5059. Sincerely, Industrial Environmental Consultan s, LLC J vV Jason Winningham, ).E. NC 28115 RE: Semi -Annual Stormwater Discharge Monitoring Report C&CScrap Iron & Metal — Kings Mounlain, NC AICG20352 Dear North Carolina Division of Water Resources, Enclosed please find the Semi-annual Stormwater Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for North Carolina DEMLR General Permit No. NCG200352. The facility has completed its Tier 1 and 2 review and is notifying you of Tier 3 status due to copper and zinc. The facility is reviewing control measures and Best Management Practices. The facility is attempting to prevent discharges by retaining stormwater so that there will be no exceedances. The facility's soil is naturally high in mineral content and does not maintain vegetation well. This is believed to be the cause of benchmark exceedances. The facility requests that DEMLR require background monitoring for Tier 3 to compare with site data. If you have any questions or require additional information about the certification, please do not hesitate to contact me at 615-730-5059.
