Are there any concerns at the WiRO, or do staff expect wetlands impact? If there hasn't been a chance to check it out yet, no problem. The borrow and sand pit is located about 2.5 mi southeast of Fair Bluff on NC904 before SR1356, and the operation will discharge mine dewatering water into a stilling basin. Stormwater discharge is to Gapway Swamp (C-Sw waters) in the Lumber River basin. The contact is Frank Horne, tel. 910-642-7803 or 910-642-7261. Does the Wilmington Regional Office have any concerns about issuing this facility a COC for coverage under this General Permit?
